Abstract
The Ishikawa Process Classification Diagram is a combination of two of the seven simple statistical tools: a flow diagram and the fishbone diagram. Coupled with employee involvement and statistical analysis, it offers a dynamic tool for process control. A wide variety of problems can be attacked using this technique. Some examples include product defects, just-in-time delivery, and process control problems. The use of the classification diagram is actually a management map of problem-solving steps. This report deals with the development and application of process classification diagrams.
