Abstract

Introduced with the 2015 revision, the ISO 9001 has seen some changes that focus more on the people within an organization to improve quality management. The 2015 revision also brought forth new structure to the ISO 9001 standard as a whole, adopting a plan-do-check-act format to make the path forward more obvious. Leadership tasks were added to the standard to give leaders an active role in maintaining and promoting quality. The standard places emphasis on finding the organization's mission and vision and take tangible steps to realize both.
