Abstract
Many metrics exist to measure quality improvement in an organization, and it remains important that organizations manage their processes so metrics can be optimized over time. However, for some organizations, metrics or sigma levels mean very little, and quality improvement must be framed differently in order to get results. Things like inventory management or defect reduction go a long way in organizations that are less knowledgeable in quality practices. Representing quality ideas in a different way will allow organizations to dip their toes into quality improvement and take on more improvement projects in the future.
