Abstract
[This abstract is based on the author's abstract.]To survive in today's competitive environment, organizations need to excel by optimizing the use and effectiveness of all available resources. To accomplish this, organizations need only manage five key elements, referred to as the Five Pillars of Organizational Excellence. All five must be managed simultaneously, and it is top management's responsibility to keep things moving along. Emphasis on one or two elements at the expense of the others is a formula for failure.
