Abstract

Multiple internal and external forces are changing the face of supply chain. Internally, organizations face the expansion of cloud computing and digital capabilities. Externally, organizations feel the pressure of continued globalization and greater market volatility. To address these factors, supply chain organizations are adopting more technology. Given that a significant majority of supply chain organizations are planning, undergoing, or have fully implemented digital transformation, leaders must be proactive in getting employees on board with the digital change required to meet the evolving business landscape. As change management tactics evolve, organizations should focus on getting employees involved and providing motivation for them to embrace the new tools and ways of working needed to meet the changing face of supply chain. APQC has found that organizations must consider change from multiple perspectives. This article shares how senior and middle management play a critical role in change management and adoption.

The infographic highlights data APQC collected in late 2022 from 301 global supply chain professionals about the current state of digital transformation in their supply chains.
