Abstract

Organization-wide transformation can be tricky, especially when it comes to sustaining any progress made over time. In a case study on Louisville Metro, a government organization based in Kentucky, many strategies were used to enact and sustain meaningful transformation. Strategies and tools used in this transformation include the plan-do-check-act, root cause analysis, use of key process indicators and 5S, among others. This dedication to continuous improvement and strong leadership led to successful improvement and encouraging steps towards maintaining that improvement over the long haul.
