Abstract

[This abstract is based on the authors' abstract.]
Estimating the number of nonconformances remaining in outgoing lots after acceptance sampling with rectification is considered. Inspection errors can have a biasing effect on the predictor for the number of undetected nonconformances. A bias-corrected predictor of this effect is proposed that performs well with regards to mean square error under a wide range of conditions. A predictor for the number of conforming items rejected is also proposed.
