Abstract

[This abstract is based on the authors' abstract.] A framework for organizational quality culture is introduced, and its legitimacy is analyzed empirically. The framework is needed because of the lack of success in various types of quality initiatives and their confusing relationship with effectiveness. Although quality has received a great deal of attention in the organizational studies literature, lack of clarity is still typical of the concept. There are multiple definitions of quality; disagreement on key dimensions; and an ambiguity between quality and organizational performance.
