Abstract
When transitioning to the ISO 9001:2015, organizations should consider the time, effort and expertise required to pass a transition audit. The ISO 9001:2015 is built on seven principles: customer focus, leadership, engagement of people, process approach, improvement, evidence-based decision making and relationship management. Organizations should keep these principles in mind when choosing how to transition and who to ask for help. If an organization is considering an outside consultant, the consultant's credentials and field expertise should be closely scrutinized. Achieving certification is a worthy task, but can be difficult to navigate without the proper resources.
