Abstract

A fundamental barrier to continuous improvement is the perception that best practices are absolute and unchangeable. Deeming a practice the best implies perfection, which leaves little room for improvement. Instead, organizations must focus on identifying good practices—proven methods that can be adapted and optimized over time.
