Abstract

Increasingly, organizations are developing new services or adding services to existing products and services, and quality professionals might find themselves part of a design team at one point or another in their careers. It is important to remember to determine the context for the organization's offering and a notion of the value delivered to the customer. In starting the design process, the big picture is essential to creating individual steps. The different components of the service determine its maintenance and running costs to the organization. After the design is complete, it's also important to keep in mind that the initial service might change over time and the organization should ensure that adaptability, updates and maintenance are inbuilt features.
