Abstract
Managing the risks to quality management processes from cybersecurity issues or conversely are part of a collaborative effort between IT and quality management professionals (QMP). Management of these risks is particularly relevant to implementing Quality 4.0 because it inherently integrates OT and IT. In the spirit of this effort, the authors recommend that QMP and appropriate IT personnel discuss, coordinate and balance both sets of risks. By doing so, this collaboration may help ensure quality and cybersecurity.
