Abstract
Effectiveness without efficiency may lead to wasted resources, but efficiency without effectiveness may lead to a great solution to an entirely wrong problem. It is important not to fall into the tendency to overemphasize efficiency—likely because it is easier to measure (like measurement studies dealing almost exclusively with precision and ignoring accuracy), or it can seem obvious that we are solving the right problem. A healthy balance between these two aspects of quality will lead to much improved results.
