Abstract

Every organization has areas in which it falls a little short. That's why audits exist--to identify these areas so they can be addressed and eliminated as the source of problems. Recently, it was revealed that corrective action planning is one of the shortcomings most frequently cited in audits. In this Standards Outlook column, R. Dan Reid outlines a robust problem-solving process and describes how an organization can remedy this oft-overlooked area.
