Abstract
The current version of ISO 9001 originated in 2012 and—ten years later—we’re still using it, which may no longer align with the current needs of its users and their interested parties. The good news is that your quality management system (QMS) still can meet ISO 9001 requirements while also responding to the present context surrounding your organization and its strategic goals. It may just take some adjusting to ensure that it’s still relevant and effective at fulfilling its purpose of consistently providing products and services that meet the current needs and expectations of your interested parties and, ultimately, helping you stay in business.
