Abstract

The author explores how to move on from a leadership position gracefully and embrace whatever comes next. Transitioning away from being a leader means you must learn to step back onto the sidelines and take influence, rather than act or direct. It also means you must adopt new habits around leadership by breaking down your habits into four steps: the cue, the craving, the response and the reward. Doing so will allow you to step back and let go with grace.
