Abstract
Failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) is complex and often applied incorrectly, incompletely or inefficiently. Thus, people often are dissatisfied with the quality of FMEA results. The authors describe a modified approach for assessing the quality of the FMEA application and results, and also recommend a valuation logic for evaluating the FMEA process.
