Abstract
Pandemic and accompanying financial crises, political mayhem, national and international strife, and other forms of global turmoil have given rise to a demand for information. In response, the use of media of all kinds, among all age groups, has increased dramatically. Words are cascading, and when words fail, graphics prevail. Some graphical displays promote understanding. Others obscure, and still others mislead, sometimes intentionally.
