Abstract

Information in the digital age is based on words, but when words fail, graphics prevail. Graphs can promote better understanding, but sometimes they can do the opposite and obscure factual information. Graphs should work to serve two purposes: edification and communication. A good graph will likely provide a clear vision, explain the features using a legend, use tick marks accurately, and improve with each iteration.
