Abstract

Even the most quality-conscious company can find itself subject to a financially disastrous product recall. Preventative measures, including an investment in preventative measures, a recall team, and quality control measures, can mitigate or prevent recall costs, including any resulting lawsuits. In the event of a recall, manufacturers should let customers know the company is doing the right thing by making the recall, and that everyone will benefit by this timely action.
