Abstract

Lean Six Sigma practitioners are tasked with assessing a process to uncover its ailments and diagnose a countermeasure. They do this using the first three phases of the define, measure, analyze, improve and control roadmap. They measure, analyze and investigate the process, collecting data to uncover what is contributing to its poor condition, the symptoms of which could be poor on-time delivery, low first-pass yield or unacceptable quality, for example.
