Abstract

Sensata Technologies created a Meeting House program which is a training program run by subject matter experts (SMEs) and geared towards internal employee training. The training courses focus on open discussion, opportunities to work directly with the subject matter, and testing to ensure the students absorb the topics well. Courses generally run about 1.5 hours in order to keep costs down and minimize distractions from work, and require minimal time from SMEs to run the courses. Over the course of five years, the amount of training courses available surged from 14 to 50 and remain popular with both new employees and veterans alike.
