Abstract

A Pennsylvania dental office used ISO 9001:2000 as a model to design an equipment management system that changed day-to-day operation from reactive to preventative. The new system delivered immediate rewards and prevented unnecessary downtime, reducing the annual cost of equipment repair visits by 67%.
