Dr. Gregory H. Watson
Dr. Watson’s expertise resides in all aspects of quality arts and sciences emphasizing applied statistics, benchmarking, reliability, production operations, strategic management, and business systems engineering.
Greg’s expertise is evident by his service as a Past-President and Fellow of the American Society for Quality where he has been awarded its highest recognition as an Honorary Member. He is also a Past-President of the highly prestigious International Academy for Quality and has been awarded its highest recognition as Honorary Member and named a Patron of the Academy. In addition, nineteen professional associations have elected him as an Honorary Member recognizing his global impact on the international quality and industrial engineering communities.
Dr. Watson has been elected a lifetime European Engineer in two fields: industrial engineering and systems engineering, and he has been certified by ASQ as a Quality Engineer, Reliability Engineer, Software Quality Engineer, and Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt. Also, he has been elected a Fellow of the Institute of Industrial Engineers, Royal Statistical Society, and the International Statistical Institute.
Although he is primarily retired, he still offers restricted consulting and teaching services to his clients in Northern Europe. Dr. Watson offers a blended-learning and coaching program in Lean Six Sigma at both the Black Belt and Master Black Belt competence levels. Greg also provides short-term technical consulting when his schedule permits.
In retirement, Dr. Watson volunteers his time to the advancement of thinking in the global professional communities of industrial engineering quality, and statistics. He exercises his avocations of writing and speaking by publishing in open literature, speaking at conferences, and delivering webinars on topics of his interest which include both Japanese quality management systems, Quality 4.0 and Macro-Quality developments.
He lives with his wife and extended family in the greater Helsinki area in Finland, but the World is now his virtual workplace.
