  1. Lean Fundamentals and Principles (15%, 9 items)
    1. Understand the differences between value and nonvalue-added activities
    2. Identify the eight sources of waste
    3. Explain the importance of flow in a value stream

The ASQ Lean Specialized Credential eLearning focuses on four intermediate-level domains of lean knowledge and provides self-paced learning opportunities through online lessons, videos, activities, case studies, and assessments. In addition, you will have the opportunity to take a practice test at the end of the eLearning to test your knowledge and help prepare you for the online Specialized Credential Exam.

Lean Specialized Credential Exam

The ASQ Lean Specialized Credential Exam will test your knowledge of lean fundamentals, continuous improvement practices, process efficiency methodologies, and tools detailed in the Lean Content Outline. Pass the exam to demonstrate your lean proficiency to peers and employers, boost your resume, and utilize the benefits lean can offer your organization. The 60-question, 1 hour and 45 minute exam is entirely online and can be taken at any time from the comfort of your home or office.

Lean Specialized Credential eLearning

Prerequisites:

There are no prerequisites for the Lean Specialized Credential eLearning; however, fundamental lean knowledge is recommended. For basic lean knowledge, view ASQ's Lean Essentials web-based offering.

Who Should Attend:

This course is designed for anyone interested in attaining their Specialized Credential in lean or gaining knowledge in the content areas.

Taking this course does not constitute, nor imply, the successful passing of the ASQ Lean Specialized Credential examination.

Lean Specialized Credential Exam

Prerequisites:

There are no experience or educational prerequisites to take the Lean Specialized Credential Exam. Please see the System Requirements tab for technical requirements.

Eligibility Expiration:

Candidates will have 180 days from purchase date to take their exam. 

Retake:

Candidates who are unsuccessful in their exam attempt are eligible to retake the exam at a discounted rate of $99.

Cancellation Policy

Lean Specialized Credential eLearning

Refunds must be requested within 90 days of purchase and will only be issued for courses that have not been accessed, or where only one web-based training module in the course curriculum has been accessed.

Lean Specialized Credential Exam

Refunds must be requested within 180 days of purchase if the exam has not been launched. If a candidate launched their exam, they will not be eligible for a refund. If a candidate wishes to repurchase the exam after cancelling, they will pay the full nonmember or member price. The retake rate will not be available.
