Professional Experience
Tim King has been an ASQ course instructor and developer for 25 years. Early in his career with GE, he held leadership positions of Supervisor- Engineering Training Programs, and Engineering Manager. Tim launched his consulting and training business to provide quality and leadership training programs for his clients. Tim conducts over 45 courses a year to many sectors and to staff of all levels, including senior management.
Known for his engaging, practical, humorous, and real-life examples during the delivery of his training classes, Tim brings an expert’s understanding of critical concepts that he uses to guide participants beneath the surface of key aspects that improve learning comprehension. Additionally, Tim consults with senior leadership teams in establishing programs that produce business results and measurable ROI, such as measured reduction in COQ. Tim forms close and long-term relationships with his clients to achieve the goals and objectives established and to transform business culture from reactive to proactive & predictive.

- Served as a lead examiner for our National Malcom Baldrige Quality Award for over 10 years
- Served four years as a preliminary judge for ASQ’s International Team Excellence Award (ITEA)
- Developed various ASQ’s courses, including Corrective & Preventive Action course
- Contributing editor to the 5th edition of the CMQOE handbook
- Received his Lean Six-Sigma Certification while at Dartmouth College
- Certified to administer the MBTI®
- Co-Authored “Leading My Department; a Guide for Quality-Driven Managers”
