Professional Experience

Denis Devos has a wide variety of technical and quality assurance management skills, and is a recognized expert in the application of the ISO 9000 family of Standards.

Denis started his career as a Quality Assurance Engineer at General Motors, where he led the first ISO 9001 implementation for a General Motors plant in North America. After General Motors, Denis joined KPMG Quality Registrar, where he was certified as an RAB/AIAG lead auditor for ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. Denis led the registration audits of many quality systems in a variety of industries. Also during his years at KPMG, Denis delivered very successful Internal Audit Training courses for both ISO 9000 and ISO 14001, and was appointed a Senior Lead Auditor and the leader of the training group for Southwestern Ontario.

While at KPMG, Denis participated in an Industry Canada trade mission to Italy, to speak as an automotive industry expert on QS-9000, and the future of global harmonization.

For the past fifteen years, Denis has been working full-time throughout Canada and the United States with automotive industry clients on Quality and Environmental Systems improvement, Lean Manufacturing implementation, training, and leading companies to their next level with customized support for their Quality and Environmental Management Systems.

An ASQ Fellow, recognizing his life-long career in the automotive industry and contribution of an original technique for Quality Auditing, Denis is also a regular contributor on automotive quality management issues and auditing issues at annual conferences throughout the United States, including several appearances at the World Conference on Quality and Improvement in 2004, 2006, 2010, 2013, 2016.

Denis is past chairman of the Kitchener Section of the American Society for Quality (ASQ), and is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario (APEO).
