Transforming Leadership — Processes and tools are only as successful as the people who lead them. Learn how to hire, develop and be part of a strong quality team and communicate the value of quality across your organization. Learn how to leverage quality and quality professionals to prepare organizations to be resilient to the ever-changing environment organizations are tackling now and in the future.
Topics include: emerging management and leadership practices; motivating teams and team building; recruitment and retention; multiple generations in the workplace; supervisory skills; training, education, and development; change management, closing the leadership gap, leadership in the 21st century, transformational leadership, social responsibility, and sustainability.
Shaping Processes — Effective processes are critical to the success of any initiative and organizational KPI. These sessions will help you select the right processes for your goals.
Topics include: creative process improvement; resolving bottlenecks; process mapping; processes vs systems; measuring and eliminating variation and waste, metrics and KPIs, change management, processes and projects
Tools and Beacons — If you are new to quality, the breadth of information and tools available can be overwhelming. Hear from experts on how to take advantage of the classic tools and be ahead of the curve on the new technologies coming to the market.
Topics include: Science and machine learning; data science; software and programming languages; classic quality tools, statistical tools and methodologies; innovative technology; quality in the virtual workplace
Session Types
Concurrent Session: These 45-minute sessions are meant to present real applications, real results, and real solutions based on quality principles or theory that can be implemented immediately. These types of presentations provide a high degree of value to the hundreds of people that attend the conference. (30 for the talk, 15 for Q&A)
Case Study: Share your successes and help others learn from your organization’s best quality practices when presenting your detailed examination of a particular case with real world context. Based on real life examples with problem statement, methodology, and solution, this session engages their audience by sharing quality lessons learned; 60 minutes (45 for the talk, 15 for Q&A)
Workshop: These hands-on, 2-hour sessions encompass two consecutive session timeslots on the program. Workshops should address a topic in a manner that leads participants from an identified beginning point through a logical and clearly identified end point with the expansion of the related body of knowledge. Hands-on learning activities should be presented as part of the workshop to demonstrate and reinforce the concepts presented.

The 60 minute After 5 Sessions give attendees an opportunity to foster relationships, think out of the box, and most importantly-have fun!
