Thomas Oesterle has 25 years of experience in product development and manufacturing of electrical instruments, automated machinery, medical devices, and consumer products. He recently started MedHouse Innovations, LLC, a product development and consulting firm in Colorado Springs.
Before founding MedHouse, Thomas worked as a Senior Principal R&D engineer for Baxter Healthcare Corporation where he led the development of disposable devices for medication delivery. Prior to Baxter, he was the Director of Engineering for CEA Technologies, Inc.
Over the last fourteen years, Thomas has facilitated a large number of process validation projects for renowned companies including Baxter Healthcare, Johnson & Johnson, Medtronic Inc., Nordion, and CR Bard.
He not only conducted the experiments, he also established and taught efficient validation processes and procedures. While at CEA Technologies, he reduced the process validation time of injection molded components by 40%.
Thomas is a trained Black Belt in Design for Six Sigma and has utilized Design of Experiments for nearly 20 years. He teaches the proper and efficient methods of process validation and shares his wealth of practical experiences on how to effectively plan and execute a validation in a time and cost driven environment.
Thomas recently co-authored “Straight Talk on Process Validation” and is also an instructor in Design of Experiments for Launsby Consulting.Thomas owns several patents for innovative product designs and material development. He earned an engineering degree from the German University Hochschule Rosenheim.
