Professional Experience

Tom Scripps is a developer and teacher of numerous software-based courses including “Statistical Process Control” (SPC), “Design of Experiments”, and a blended Design for Six Sigma curriculum.

Tom has helped scores of companies succeed with continuous improvement in design and delivery, including product-focused applications (research and development, product and process development, product manufacturing) and service-focused applications.  Benefitted organizations include manufacturers (chemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, plastics, insulation, automotive parts, computer hardware, medical devices, consumer products, earth-moving equipment) and service providers (business processes, customer service, IT, financial service, research laboratory, utility).

The underlying theme that ties these disparate companies and products together is Tom’s focus on the proper application of statistical engineering – the use of statistical thinking and statistical methods applied to complex problems in engineering and science.

For over thirty years as Principal of Scripps & Associates, P.C. of Evergreen, Colorado, Tom has been assisting practitioners of product and process development and improvement to understand and successfully implement strategies and techniques that are the basis for Lean Six Sigma initiatives, including DMAIC and DFSS for product and service.

Tom was awarded a Master Black Belt in Six Sigma by Tunnell Consulting under the tutelage of Dr. Ronald Snee.
