The ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB) was created by and is jointly owned by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the American Society for Quality (ASQ). The Company is a 501 (c) (3), non-profit, non-governmental organization that provides accreditation and training services to public and private sector organizations in the areas of management systems, laboratories, inspection bodies, reference material producers, and proficiency test providers.
ANAB has been in business for over 25 years, accrediting labs for 17 years, and has offices in Alexandria, VA, Milwaukee, WI, Fort Wayne, IN and Cary, NC.
ANAB serves many markets. ANAB accredits ISO/IEC 17025 testing and calibration laboratories, ISO/IEC 17020 inspection bodies, ISO Guide 34 reference material producers, ISO/IEC 17043 proficiency test providers, ISO 15189 medical test labs and industry-specific accreditation programs. ANAB also accredits forensic testing agencies to ISO/IEC 17025 and forensic inspection agencies to ISO/IEC 17020.
ANAB is a member of the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), and is a signatory of the IAF and ILAC multilateral recognition arrangements (MRAs).
