ASQ Announces 2022 Fellows
Fellows represent years of dedication to ASQ and practice as a quality professional
Milwaukee, Wis., April 28, 2022 — ASQ has named four members as Fellows for their achievements and contributions to the advancement of quality. ASQ has nearly 500 active Fellows who represent diverse industries on a global scale. Fellow membership status is awarded to individuals who are ASQ members in good standing and meet the following criteria:
- Have at least 15 years of quality-related experience.
- Achieve requirements across six professional categories.
- Are sponsored by peers and endorsed by their ASQ section or division.
- Have been an ASQ Senior member for five years or longer.
The new Fellows will be recognized in a ceremony at ASQ’s World Conference on Quality and Improvement (WCQI) in May, held in Anaheim, Calif.
In alphabetical order, the 2022 Fellows are:
Kaushal Mehta, Reliance Industries Ltd., India – For exemplary achievements and leadership across a broad spectrum of business excellence and quality management areas; for excellence in design and deployment of governance and performance measurement frameworks; and for inspirational commitment to furthering quality thinking and for creating tangible impact through ASQ community activities.
Vic Nanda, Nokia, Ariz. – For exceptional leadership of business transformation, operational excellence, and customer experience turnaround in global organizations; for designing, developing, and deploying Master Black Belt, Lean Six Sigma Champions, and Lean and Kaizen Practitioner certification Programs; and for advancing the quality body of knowledge with scholarly contributions.
Peihua Qiu, University of Florida, Fla. – For fundamental methodological research in quality control and management, for contribution in quality-related education, training and consulting, and for service to the profession as editor and associate editor of quality-related professional journals.
Song Zhou, Lattice Semiconductor Corporation, China – For outstanding contributions in quality education, including ASQ certification promotion and training; for devoted local membership community leadership and management; and for professional competence in quality management in the electronics and semiconductor industry.
