Abstract:Distribution analysis - the process of examining a data set to understand its characteristics - uses a variety of tools that are often not used to their fullest extent. A procedure is presented as a guide to performing distribution analysis while avoiding common pitfalls. The procedure has four sequential steps that create a scientific method of understanding the data creation process.
