Abstract:Many people in the software industry are not yet as indoctrinated into the quality world as those in other industries. Many software companies rely heavily on product testing after the development phase, but lack of early project planning, combined with the inability of managers and technologists to communicate, can create a chaotic environment. This disconnect can cause stress and the potential for poor decisions. The traditional quality concepts of W. Edwards Deming, Joseph M.
