Professional Experience

Mark Moyer is the administrative director of the USF Health CAMLS Innovation Center. The Innovation Center is an environment for physician and technologist collaboration. From concept design (modeling and engineering) to final verification, validation, and regulatory body acceptance, the Innovation Center works closely with clients to provide useful, timely, cost-effective, and innovative healthcare solutions.

Mark began his career in the aerospace industry and has spent more than 20 years in the medical device industry providing leadership in new product development, manufacturing, compliance, quality/regulatory affairs, and change control with both U.S. and global partners. He has been awarded multiple design patents.

As an ASQ Certified Biomedical Auditor (CBA), he works with the Society as one of the faculty deploying the Biomedical Body of Knowledge (BoK). Mark has trained industry professionals as well as regulators, both nationally and internationally. A past chair of ASQ’s Biomedical Division, he currently serves on the Society’s Board of Directors, Technical Communities Council, co-chairs the Performance and Recognition Committee, and serves as a representative on the AAMI sponsored US TAG to IEC 62A/JWG 4 – Medical devices- general requirements for safety and essential performance – Usability.
