Professional Experience

Jochen Amelsberg has implemented numerous company-wide optimization initiatives from strategy definition to hands-on implementation and management of teams on site. As an experienced Consultant, Executive Coach and Change Agent, he has worked effectively and efficiently with organizations from various industries.

Jochen has led multiple company-wide Lean Six Sigma Initiatives with a total financial impact of about 500 mm EUR for his clients where he supported his customers in the role of consultant and deployment/project leader. In addition, he has led and supported corporate Lean Management initiatives covering diverse Lean methods and principles including Strategy Deployment/Hoshin Kanri, Lean Transformation, end-to-end Value Stream Mapping and Design and facilitation of numerous Kaizen-Workshops.

He pursues a practical, hands-on and shop floor-oriented approach including the validation of operational and financial impact. Jochen has extensive knowledge and practical experience in Lean Six Sigma, Lean Management and according methods and tools, including Design for Lean Six Sigma (DFLSS) and product and software engineering and design. He has significant experience working with both mid-sized and very large multinational companies and their management, staff and operators.

As a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, Jochen has provided coaching for project leaders and teams for more than 900 Lean Six Sigma projects at the Green and Black Belt levels of proficiency. 

He served as a member of the board of directors of the ASQ from 2006-2008 and has worked for more than 15 years as volunteer leader in numerous ASQ committees, including committees for international cooperation and ASQ awards and medals.
