Professional Experience

Corey Rathburn’s work experience started as an intern during college as a production supervisor at DaimlerChrysler, he managed two of the most highly technical, highly automated lines in the transmission production facility. His first career was a project engineer with Avery Dennison at their office products corporate headquarters. In this position he obtained his Green Belt certification and worked on process improvement projects in Avery’s office product plants in Tijuana and Juárez, Mexico.

Next, Corey was assigned to work on what was then Avery’s largest project (Project Decorate) at their performance films division. In this position he was a process/project engineer focusing on the converting phase of the process. While in this role, he was trained as a Black Belt.

Corey’s next role was with Quest Diagnostics as a LSS Black Belt and Project Manager. His duties included overseeing national corporate initiatives to completion, surveying construction functions aimed at redesigning the site into a lean, and monitoring savings associated with these initiatives to ensure forecasted savings schedule is maintained.

As the Management Engineer at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, Corey’s goal was to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of operations throughout the facility. Most of his focus was concentrated on the Emergency Room and the Operating Room. By focusing on process, system, and cultural improvements, the team was able to increase visits to the Emergency Department by 28% while only utilizing 12% more labor. In the Operating Room, room turn-over-times decreased by 25% and overall case start times improved by 15%.

Corey’s latest corporate position was a Global Master Black Belt at Anheuser Busch-InBev. He also assumed the duties of Global Operations Director responsible for establishing and developing the framework and foundation globally for the Continuous Improvement program.
