Cathy Hoenig is currently serving as the Leadership and Human Resource Focus Subject Matter Expert for Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) Business Excellence Organization headquartered in Seal Beach, CA. She has responsibility to provide expertise and support across the enterprise as it relates to the overall IDS Business Excellence approach and the Malcolm Baldrige criteria for Performance Excellence.
Prior to this assignment, Cathy was a Project Manager within the Boeing Airlift & Tanker Programs leading Baldrige Category 5 - HR Focus activities including the 2002 C-17 Program's California Awards for Performance Excellence, resulting in a Gold-level award and the first recipient of the California Governor's Award, and the 2004 Airlift & Tanker Program's Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award application. She also has led over a 14 teams through the State and International Team Excellence Award application, resulting in 3 wins at the International-level.
Cathy has served as a Council Member on the California Team Excellence Award (CTEA) and took on roles as a Judge, Lead Judge and Trainer within CTEA. In addition, she has served as a Judge (2003) for the AQP International Team Excellence Award. She is currently on the Board of Examiners for both the California Awards for Performance Excellence and the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Program.
Cathy holds a Bachelors' of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix, a Masters' of Art in Education Technology from Pepperdine University, and is certified as a Human Resources Management Professional from Cornell University.
She is married, with an 13-year old son and resides in Long Beach, CA.
