Larry Hillyer is a Six Sigma Master Black Belt and quality engineer. Hillyer has a degree from the University of Wisconsin Fox Valley Technical College and has been an ASQ member since 1986.

Competitive markets force continual change, which forces cost reductions.

Why do you think quality is important?

Quality and customer satisfaction drives our economy.

What’s your favorite benefit of quality?

The smile on the faces of people when they realize they had a part in the change.

Why did you choose to go into the quality field?

Quality chose me.

What’s your best advice to someone new to quality?

Partner with a senior member, exchange ideas, keep your mind open to change.
