Abstract
This article shows how text analytic tools—for example, comparison word clouds and sentiment analysis using R software—summarized the views of respondents using chat comments from a virtual Zoom session. The Zoom meeting focused on the professional development of quality personnel working in new organizations. Virtual Zoom meetings were among the ways organizations and professional groups adapted and changed the way communications, in-person meetings and social gatherings took place during the COVID-19 pandemic. The sentiment analysis presented in this example helped uncover the feelings, opinions and attitudes of participants about professional development during the virtual panel, which is bound to gain more traction as video conferencing continues to be used in the post-COVID-19 pandemic world.
