Abstract

An organization’s QMS and IMS have much in common. Each can be leveraged to strengthen the other. If an organization does not have an IMS, its QMS could serve as a starting point. Both continual improvement and innovation may be critical for an organization to achieve and sustain a competitive advantage. That is what good neighbors do—help one another.
