Abstract
A fantastic source of auditing information remains unheralded: International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Technical Committee (TC) 176 Auditing Practices Group (APG). The APG was established in 2003 as a resource for reliable guidance and information on auditing quality management systems. At the time, it was an ad hoc group under the auspices of ISO TC 176 Quality Management and Quality Assurance and the International Accreditation Forum. Later, it shed its ad hoc status and became a permanent task force within TC 176. For more than 20 years, it has served the auditing community through the guidance it provides.
