Abstract

Just as quality revolutionized the manufacturing and healthcare industries over the past 50 years, the same disciplined approach must be embraced by organizations and countries around the world to create the synergetic changes required to address climate and environmental issues. As quality pioneers have noted, improvement happens project by project. To encourage the use of quality methods in efforts to save the plant, several partnerships with quality organizations throughout the world have formed to promote projects aimed at environmental issues
and other aspects of sustainability. These projects are evaluated for recognition and their stories are shared to inform and inspire others.
