Abstract

Technical program manager (TPM) has become one of the most sought-after roles in the tech industry. It’s a great choice for professionals who love the technical aspects of their job, and also going broad vs. deep by understanding the complex intricacies of engineering product development and its intersection with the overall business. A good TPM has the unique ability to connect the technical dots between different functions or teams, and use technical insights to create a plan to realize the goal. Communication and stakeholder management also are critical skills.
