Creating a Globally Competitive Workforce-Presentation Slides

Abstract: slides for the Closing Keynote for the 2013 Advancing the STEM Agenda Conference with Glenn Walters, Deputy Cabinet Secretary for the New Mexico Higher Education Department. The conference was held at Grand Valley State University, Grand Rapids, MI, on June 3-4, 2013. This keynote addresses the need for more STEM education and addresses the number of degrees granted in STEM in the U.S. compared to other countries. The keynote is energizing and interactive and encourages all attendees to continue their STEM initiatives, especially with respect to the achievement gap. The closing keynote recognized the innovative nature of STEM and advancing the STEM workforce with ideas for science and engineering innovations
