Three Small Steps … One Giant Leap

Abstract: In this article about Park Hill School District in Kansas City, MO, authors Mark Miles and Jeff Klein detail three of many steps that provided the foundation for the district’s quest for quality: vision, mission and values deployment; key performance indicators development; and building and district plans alignment. These steps to improvement helped the district improve student ACT scores, increased parental involvement and increased teacher participation in professional development.
