Use of the Socratic Method in Teaching Statistical Thinking

by Jensen, Willis A.

Use of the Socratic Method in Teaching Statistical Thinking Description: There are many opportunities for teaching statistical concepts whether they occur in formal or informal settings. An example of applying a Socratic approach is given here as well as a discussion of how to successfully apply it in teaching situations.
