Herb McGrath

Herb is an Associate Professor at Bowling Green State University. He teaches students in the MS Applied Statistics program as well as undergraduate business and MBA students. His current research interests are in industrial statistics, specifically, unreplicated fractional factorial designs, computer experiments, and statistical process control.
Prior to receiving his Ph.D. in Statistics from Penn State in 2000, he worked for AT&T and Bell Laboratories for 12 years as a quality engineer, corporate educator, and quality manager. He also has an M.S. in Statistics from Rutgers University (with option in Quality Management) and a B.S. in Industrial and Management Systems from Penn State.
While at AT&T, Herb taught many courses in statistical process control and experimental design and analysis at manufacturing facilities as well as service centers. He was a member of the writing committees for four books in the AT&T Quality Library.
Herb is a member of the American Statistical Association and a senior member of ASQ. He is currently serving as the Treasurer of the Toledo Section and formerly was the faculty advisor to the Student Section.
