Four Basic Tools for Organizing and Quantifying “Idea Data” – Part 2 Basic Tools Appearing in Fall 1994 Newsletter
Abstract: This paper continues a description of tools for generating and analyzing “Idea Data” started in the Summer 1994 Newsletter, Vol. 14 Issue 4. This “Idea Data” usually comes from the collective experiences, opinions, and creative thoughts of a group of people working toward a common goal, e.g. improving quality. This paper focuses on the tree diagram and prioritization matrix. These steps are the more logical steps of the process, which lead to the quantification of “Idea Data”. Once the data have been quantified, the construction of an action plan will be easier.
