Getting Started with ISO 9001
1. First, get your copy of the the latest version of the ISO 9001:2008 standard.

- Order your hardcopy, e-copy, or site license now.
2. Next, understand what the standard is and how it works.
The book ISO 9001:2008 Explained, Third Edition was written by three U.S. experts who worked on the standard at the international level. Each chapter in the book is organized by the different standard requirements and contains the actual ISO 9001:2008 language, followed by an explanation of the intent of each clause.
3. Finally, consult with a third-party registrar/auditor who can answer more specific questions.
Use ASQ’s Website-based discussion board "Ask a Quality Professional," ASQ online communities, or the ASQ LinkedIn group to make connections.
