Lean Six Sigma Green Belt for Service - ASQ Training

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt for Service

The Lean Six Sigma Green Belt for Service course is designed to prepare individuals to support process improvement efforts in a transactional /service environment. Typically, Green Belts serve as team members under the direction of a Black Belt or on projects that are subsets of larger projects. Green Belt projects are generally more focused on local (versus enterprise) improvements.

Green Belts provide value within the organization's Six Sigma initiative in a variety of ways. Key Green Belt responsibilities include:

  • Actively working on a Six Sigma project.
  • Applying the Six Sigma tools and discipline to Six Sigma improvement projects, including
    • Collection and analysis of data
    • Development of process maps
    • Assistance to the Black Belt in certain levels of statistical analysis.
  • Supporting and participating in project reviews.

Green Belts also conduct process-level improvement projects that do not require the same statistical rigor used by Black Belts. These activities serve to both support and accelerate strategic Six Sigma deployment objectives and helps perpetuate them throughout the company.
